With the presentation of Ana Cristina Jorge’s proposal – Scientific drawing and its pedagogical-cultural aspect in the imagery of Angolan artefacts in the museum context and as a factor in enhancing the collection and source of its own financing – we began a new way of disseminating it to the public research work on some of the museum’s collections. In this case, a group of Angolan artefacts that have been in reserve since 1940.
The work of designing and building object prototypes, for sale in the museum store, is an opportunity to reflect on the potential contained in the works we preserve, beyond the issues of historical representation or aesthetic meaning that we usually reveal.
